Alex Keach - Managing Director and Founder
Alex has a diverse background with 14 years’ experience working in financial markets as an investor, adviser and fund manager. Alex has acted as a corporate adviser to several companies with regard to strategy development/implementation, governance and change management. Alex has founded, grown and financed companies across agriculture, financial services and mining. Alex has practical skills in agriculture including many years experience working on properties, most notably in the cultivation of poppies, hemp, potatoes.
Alex has a degree in rural business management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Alex was born in Tasmania, has farming interests in Tasmania, and brings with him significant experience and relationships. Alex is a board member of the Hemp Association of Tasmania (HAT).
Alex is responsible for the overall corporate development and governance, supply management, capital and investor management, and building industry relationships.
Jason Hine - Chief Operations Officer
Jason brings over 25 years’ senior management experience driving growth, developing and improving business models, building operational excellence, identifying revenue opportunities and profitability across multiple and varied sectors globally.
Jason is skilled at creating high value relationships, identifying and capitalising on opportunities and innovating with technology. He has also been an active member of the Global Entrepreneurs Organisation and has developed a significant network of contacts across a range of industry segments globally. Jason brings a wealth of board and senior management experience developed within the hemp, medicinal cannabis, finance, franchising, manufacturing, distribution, and professional services sectors.
While Jason will be actively involved in all aspects of building the business including business development, distribution, corporate and product development, his initial focus will be to drive and build the business’s operational capability across HR, Contract Management and Finance functions.
Damian Wood MPharm(Hons, DipClinPharm, MBA, PCQI, MPS) – Director, Medicinal Cannabis Production
Damian is a registered pharmacist with 20 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical practice and sessional university academic.
His medicinal cannabis interests include pharmacognosy, product development, business development, post-harvest production and EU GMP manufacturing..
Since early 2018, Damian has been at the forefront of the Australian medicinal cannabis sector, where he has led product development, including first Australian product to market and leading a manufacturing facility development to TGA GMP Licence.
Damian is committed to driving business growth and production capabilities for ECS Botanics, to consistently achieve product quality, safety and efficacy to benefit patients worldwide.
David McCredie - Chairman
David McCredie has been the CEO of the Australian British Chamber of Commerce since 2010. David's interactions with a broad range of industries both in Australia and the UK enables him to provide crucial advice to government, non-government and private sector organisations on best practice in a range of fields, including: business strategy, marketing, financing, political and government connectivity.
David has a Bachelor of Arts and MBA. David brings with him significant strategic and business development capabilities, combined with extensive relationships in the business and government sectors.
Jason Stephens - Business Development Manager
Jason has been instrumental in growing and developing many business verticals across multiple sectors. As lead adviser to both Australian and International corporations, Jason managed the implementation and delivery of many successful projects across industries including renewable energy, import export and health and nutrition. Jason is skilled at new product and branding deployment, asset management architecture and provisioning and cross vertical marketing strategies.
Jason brings to ECS Botanics strategic supply chain management experience, business and solutions development expertise, advanced problem solving and a strong sense team building and cultural development experience. Jason is passionate about health and nutrition and delivering new consumer experiences through innovation.
Nikki Cranley - Financial Controller
Nikki is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years commercial experience. Prior to joining ECS Nikki worked in a number of varied roles ranging from leading the finance function in rapidly expanding and changing SMEs in Sydney and London as well as working in larger, established publicly listed organisations and financial institutions such as UBS Investment Bank in London and Westpac Institutional Bank in Sydney.
Nikki has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting.
Nikki brings with her a passion for all things numbers and financial control and enjoys working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Sally Allport - Executive Assistant to MD and Social Media Manager
Sally brings an abundance of flare, knowledge and experience to ECS Botanics since joining in 2020. Her experience ranges from corporate administration, events management, and digital marketing. Since 2013, Sally has developed her skills in the financial services industry with companies such as MLC, JANA Investment Advisory and Perpetual Investments.
Sally has a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Marketing and Advertising. Sally enjoys challenging the norm and speaking her mind. Sally is determined to generate brand interest, boost product revenue, and focus on customer and business relationships during her time at ECS Botanics.
